Andy is proud of his four-decade career in public education administration and the appreciation he received for his advances in strategic planning, fiscal budgeting, change implementation, staff and union relations and leadership development.

As principal, he served three large, diverse secondary schools: Sir Winston Churchill (where he assisted in founding the Autism Resource Centre), Eric Hamber and Prince of Wales. Nationally and internationally, he’s served in professional leadership roles for the International Baccalaureate Organization, BC Indigenous Education Initiative, Canadian Council for Multicultural & Intercultural Education and Global PD Leadership Executive Pathways Project.

Andy’s international educational consulting firm keeps him in high demand advising Asian, European, North & South American leaders and planners excited to replicate excellence in IB programs and leadership development.

Local government & community service

Andy has offered extensive community service to West Vancouver and the District, honoured to be asked to serve on advisory committees and working groups concerned with land use, neighbourhood character, parks, environment, finance, youth services and our new OCP.

His leadership roles have included chair, co-chair and Vice President positions on the following District working groups or community boards and a prestigious award:

Personal life

Andy was born in Argentina, raised and schooled in West Vancouver and speaks four languages. At UBC, he earned a BA in History and minor in Economics; and a MA in Education, publishing his thesis on "The Teaching of Culture and Attitude Change." Andy, wife Janice and cat Camilla are longtime Caulfeild residents. He hopes to bring a missing Western perspective to Council, while representing the entire community.
